More Than a Diagnosis…
I know how scary this can feel - because I lived it too.
For years, I searched for answers while feeling dismissed, overwhelmed, and uncertain if I would ever truly feel like myself again.
After being diagnosed with POTS and advanced sympathetic nervous system dysregulation, I was told there was no cure and that I would need to simply adapt to my symptoms.Instead, I became determined to better understand the body, the nervous system, and the powerful connection between lifestyle, stress, mindset, and healing.
Through extensive education in medical physiology, personal experience, and my Mayo Clinic Wellness Coach Certification, I was able to reclaim my health and create a life that once felt impossible. Today, my mission is to help others feel empowered, supported, and hopeful again — because healing begins when we stop believing we are broken.
I am not here to dismiss your symptoms - I am here to understand them
STOP the POTS was created from lived experience, compassion, and the belief that individuals struggling with POTS and dysautonomia deserve to feel truly heard. I am not someone looking at your symptoms from the outside in — I have lived through the fear, uncertainty, frustration, and isolation that can come with nervous system dysfunction firsthand.
For so long, I searched for answers while being told to simply adjust to a “new normal.” Instead, I discovered the profound impact that lifestyle interventions, nervous system regulation, education, and supportive guidance can have on healing and quality of life. Today, my mission is to help others feel empowered, hopeful, and supported as they begin reclaiming their health and learning to trust their bodies again.
Meet Your Coach, Confidant & Biggest Supporter
Hey, I’m Ashley — and I truly understand what it feels like to have your life turned upside down by POTS.
At just fifteen years old, I became suddenly bedridden after developing severe autonomic dysfunction and experiencing hundreds of debilitating symptoms affecting nearly every aspect of my daily life. I missed an entire year of school, major milestones, friendships, athletics, and the normal teenage experiences so many people take for granted. While trying to teach myself my coursework from bed, I was repeatedly told that my symptoms were “all in my head,” that I was exaggerating, or that I simply needed to learn to live with it.
At one point, due to the severity of my condition, I was even told that my future looked extremely limited. But deep down, I refused to accept hopelessness as my story.
That decision changed the trajectory of my life.
Over the years, I became deeply committed to understanding the nervous system, the body, and the science behind autonomic dysfunction. My journey eventually led me to contribute to medical research surrounding POTS and dysautonomia, publish cardiac research, earn my Master’s in Medical Physiology from the Medical College of Wisconsin, and receive my Mayo Clinic Wellness Coach Certification — all while continuing to mentor and support others navigating similar challenges.
But more importantly, I understand this journey from lived experience. I know what it feels like to grieve your old life, to feel dismissed, and to wonder if things will ever get better again.
STOP the POTS was created to change that narrative.
For years, I have helped guide and support others with POTS and nervous system dysregulation, and after witnessing the power of community, education, mindset shifts, and lifestyle interventions firsthand, I knew I wanted to create a space where people could feel understood, empowered, and hopeful again. Because healing begins the moment we stop believing we are broken.
